It is a complete suite of creation tools for game development, architectural and automotive visualisation, linear film and television content creation, broadcast and live event production, training and simulation, and other real-time applications.
"The Mandalorian" and "Westworld" are renowned web series aired on the Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform. Jon Favreau and ILM (Industrial Light & Magic) jointly worked with Epic in developing StageCraft technology for "The Mandalorian". This technology was later shared with Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the producers of "Westworld", who integrated Unreal Engine with StageCraft.
Unreal Engine's high-quality graphics, realistic textures, lights and shadows make AAA game companies use it with ease. Well renowned not only for third and first person shooters, it has proved itself across multiple genres and styles — Unreal Tournament, Gears of War, Fortnite and more.
Unreal Engine allows studios to project a near movie-ready monster on screen for the actors to see and to interact with while filming. This helps studios cut down on production and editing time. In "Rogue One," Unreal Engine made history by working with CGI in real-time. God of Mars goes further, shooting directly into backgrounds rendered in real time in Unreal Engine.
